Physical Activity and Sports Studies aims to enhance students’ capacity to participate effectively in physical activity and sport, leading to improved quality of life for themselves and others. Students engage in a wide range of physical activities in order to develop key understandings about how and why we move and how to enhance quality and enjoyment of movement.
What students will be doing in the course:
Participating in a variety of sports, fitness, and recreational activities
Learning about the body, movement, and performance improvement
Exploring coaching, officiating, and leadership roles in sport
Investigating issues such as nutrition, injury prevention, and wellbeing
Developing teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills through practical and theory-based tasks

This course is ideal for students who enjoy being active, working in teams, and learning through movement. It suits those who are interested in sport, coaching, health, and fitness, or who want to understand how to improve personal performance. PASS is a great option for students considering pathways in sport science, personal training, physiotherapy, teaching, coaching, or for anyone who simply loves staying active and healthy.
