Archaeological Discoveries

Lake Mungo is a place that is special to native aboriginal tribes because it keeps alot of old aboriginal and australian history with it. Scientists have discovered the bodies of Mungo Man and Mungo Woman here, they have been pressumed to be from over 10 000 years ago which just tells us how long the aboriginals have been on this land.

They also found a lot of stone tools which were most likely used for hunting or cooking, Something else that they found which shocked me is one of the worlds oldest cremations found. A cremation is when somebody gets burned after their death to memorate their life. All of these discoveries help us imagine what life at lake mungo was like over 50 000 years ago, pretty cool right?
