Draw a picture of the cover of your favourite book. Make sure you include the title, the author and the illustrator (if known)
Click on/the video/YouTube channel/website examples listed here and choose some, many to complete a directed drawing activity. Many are related to themes covered in many stages across the school.
Using the traditional colours (red, orange, yellow, brown, black and white) of our Indigenous people, create a dot painting/artwork similar to those painted thousands of years ago. If paint and other resources are difficult to get, use felt tip pens (Textas) to recreate an artwork in a similar style.
Using different media (coloured pencils, felt tipped pens - Textas, crayons etc), create a view of Uluru using the style that you like and choose to use. Examples of different styles can be found using the pictures below. An extension of this activity is to choose a different iconic natural or man-made Australian landmark/structure to create (The Three Sisters, The Opera House etc)
Using materials you have used before (empty cartons, cans, boxes etc), create a sculpture of your choice (natural or man-made structure, robot/transformer, animal etc). Glue, nail, screw and stick using any materials from around the home. It can be decorated, painted or left in it's original form. Creativity is the aim of the activity.

Appreciation 1 - Listen to your favourite song/piece of music and try to explain to a "friend" who has never heard the song, why you like it so much. Record your reasons in any way you like - write it down, make an audio or video recording, YouTube, blog or on your portal in some way.
Appreciation 2 - Try to find 2 versions of any song you like. Record your reasons why you like one better than the other. Use any way to record your response as written above. Some "new" songs have been recorded many times by various artists and sometimes the new version is more popular than the original. Always an interesting discussion. Ask an adult what they think.
Performing - Create/make your own musical instrument. Use any household materials and don't forget to recycle where you can. Learn to play along with a favourite song(s). Be ready to perform when you return to school when you get the opportunity.
Preforming - learn a dance to a song you like. It can be in any style you like to any appropriate song you choose. Examples might include Macarena, Chicken Dance, Cha Cha Slide, The Git Up, The Hokey Pokey, Nutbush or one from a movie like a routine from Grease, Footloose or Sing. Be prepared to share it with the class.
Create - Make up/create your very own dance. Choose a song you like and make up steps and actions you believe will fit to the beat and rhythm of the song. Choose appropriate music and actions and practise your dance. Be prepared to share it when you return to school
