Best Start Kindergarten Assessment identifies student’s literacy and numeracy skills on entry to Kindergarten. It has been conducted in all NSW public schools since 2010. The assessment is mapped to the National Literacy and Numeracy Learning Progressions.

Parents and carers are responsible for their child's safety on the way to and from school.
Parents and carers can reinforce what their children learn at school by planning and using safe school travel routes, modelling how to be a safe road user and always following road rules. Young children, in particular, require active supervision by an adult whenever they are in a traffic environment.
