Term 4, December 4th, saw the incredible annual Shakespeare Showcase, which involved our Year 7 students in English, working on a PBL project to present to some of our feeder public schools. It was a day of nerves, excitement and great planning on behalf of our students and teachers.
We had incredible creativity exhibited by our students who created a range of engaging and educational activities for Year 5 students, ranging from memory games on the plays Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet, Kahoot games focused on Shakespeare’s life and times, and quizzes galore to test the knowledge of the Year 5 students. Through collaboration, students presented confidently and appropriately to the Year 5 students along with some enticing goodies such as lollies and small prizes, with a Shakespeare twist!
Year 7 students should be commended on their presentations, organisation, collaboration and the effective way that they communicated with Year 5 students and then cleaned up at the end of the day, even though they were exhausted!
