General Library Services

Library Catalogue

You can search our catalogue by logging in to the Department of Education Student Portal and selecting the "My School Library" link.

Alternatively, the Library Link App can be downloaded to your phone and you can search the Kincumber HS catalogue via the App.

You can also search our catalogue from the computers at the Circulation Desk in the library.

Library Hours

Monday-Wednesday + Friday: 7:30 am - 2:30 pm

Closed Break 1 Friday for Staff Meeting.

Borrowing Books

You can borrow books for up to a month and renew beyond that. You can also borrow certain journals, graphic novels and magazines.

You can check our catalogue from home by logging into your school portal and opening the "My School Library" tab.

Accessing E-Books & Audiobooks

YouTube can now be streamed via DoE devices and many e-Books and audio books are accessible via YouTube. Alternatively, we can sign you up to become a member of Central Coast Public Libraries! see Miss Mac for more details.

Study advice and research support

The Teacher Librarian, Miss Mac, can provide you with study advice and research support for your assignments. Please email Miss Mac: kathleen.mcdonogh@det.nsw.edu.au or see the relevant year group page in the website tab for research advice.

Games & Clubs

Quiet games are available for students to play during breaks.

The Chess Club & Debating and Public Speaking Club also operate out of the Library. Please see the relevant website tab for further information.

Printing

Printing is available in the library. The cost is 10 cents (black and white) and 50 cents for colour.

Competitions

Various competitions are run out of the library and student work is displayed. Check this tab for the latest competition.

Resource Request

If you (students, parents and caregivers!) would like to see a particular book in the library, please request the book here via the Resource Request Form.

Students who recommend or request a suitable resource will go into the draw to win canteen vouchers each term.

Library shut due to exams?

Request a resource through the Google Form to the left and Miss Mac will deliver it to your class.
