We hope you enjoy the Virtual Orientation!
A Welcome from our students
Whitney, Zac, Scarlett and Jocelyn have been active student leaders in their time at Hunters Hill High School and model the school values with pride, kindness and intuition on a daily basis.
They recognise the importance of student leadership within a school and have been the driving force behind such initiatives as The Indigenous Literacy Foundation's Great Book Swap, The World's Greatest Shave, RUOK? Day, Anti-Racism programs, organising in-school events like The Colour Run, informal volleyball tournaments that involve students across year groups, Christmas in July, Random Acts of Kindness... just to name a few.
In their short welcome they acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land - the Wallemedegal people of the Eora Nation and outline our community's focus on supporting each other in achieving our personal best.
Principal's Address
Mr Gregory Lill has been our esteemed Principal since 2018. In this time he has brought about some big changes in relation to pedagogical and curriculum development, growing the capacity of his diverse and dynamic teaching staff and strengthening the wellbeing supports and processes within the school.
In his address Mr Lill will provide an overview of our progress and his vision for the school as we move beyond 2021.
Previous P&C President's Welcome
Jacqueline Crompton has been an active member of the P&C since the enrolment of her eldest child who recently graduated from Year 12 and with two daughters still with us she has more recently been elected as P&C President. She is knowledgeable, dedicated and provides positive leadership to a passionate community of parents and citizens.
In her welcome video she gives an overview of the services the P&C provides and will reinforce the confidence you have in committing to your local public, co-educational comprehensive high school.
Virtual Tour
Get to know our school more intimately by engaging with the Virtual Tour where you will meet some of our amazing Head Teachers and get to see the dynamic learning environment that nurtures Safe, Active and Respectful learners.
Hunters Hill High School is a unique school situated in what must be the most scenic site of any government school in Sydney. It is unique not just for its geographic location, but for its connection with the natural landscapes of bushland and waterways. The school, which has a population of approximately 800 students, is the perfect size in maintaining a sense of the individual while ensuring we are able to all make strong and positive connections as part of a community.
This is reflected in the strong welfare ethos that runs through the school's policy and programs, including the school's UMatter Mentoring program. Moreover, our size ensures that there are many leadership and extra-curricular opportunities catering for students with interests in the fields of both sport and the creative arts.
Students are happy to attend, earn and strive for their best whilst their teachers are happy to commit and make those efforts necessary to guide and mentor their students on their way to being quality young adults.
We hope you enjoy our Virtual Tour.

Eat Your Words
On Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons our Learning and Support Team facilitates support and guidance for students - this may be clarification of learning and guidance with best practices for preparing and completing assessments and exams. Students come prepared with their task outlines and drafts to ensure clear communication of their needs with the support staff.
Numeracy Centre
The Numeracy Centre is facilitated by the Mathematics Faculty and runs every lunchtime
(except Tuesday due to Sport).
This program provides direct access to mathematics teachers to ensure students have support in reviewing and refining the mathematical processes and improving revision practices for tests and exams.
Beyond the Bell
Every Monday afternoon after school, teachers volunteer their time to support students with their homework, assessments and in establishing positive revision habits. Students identify and work towards achieving SMART Goals for each session to reinforce good study practice.
