Some people feel a bit uneasy about the first day of school. That's understandable. It's all very new.
At GRC Hurstville Campus we do everything we can to make sure your first day is exciting, fun and relaxed.
The first day is all about getting to know your way around the school, your teachers and your peers. We have structured activities to help with all of these goals.

Week one
Week one
For the rest of the first week, we'll continue to get to know each other. You'll get to spend a lot of time in different spaces so that you know how to work safely and productively. This will include learning about the science labs, kitchen, woodwork room and more.
Week two
Week two
In week two, we'll start to engage more in group activities. This will help your teachers to see how you interact with other people and where your strengths lie, so that we can start putting classes together.
Year 7 Excursion
Year 7 Excursion
During Term 1, you'll get to go on an exciting outdoor education excursion. The outdoor recreation camp has a bunch of fun activities that will help you to:
make new friends and connections
solve problems together
put yourself out of your comfort zone
build resilience
have fun!

Join your class and start learning!
By week three, your teachers have determined the ideal student groupings based on what they've learnt about you and your peers. You can now:
join your classes for the rest of year 7
get to know your teachers better
establish routines and start to learn in all the subjects you'll study in year 7.
