This video simply explains the way to work with the iPads that don't have a home button. They rely heavily on the use of gestures.
It will also give you the names of each part of the iPad screen to help in future videos.
The iPads will come with apps scattered across your home screens. Organising the apps into folders can help immensely with productivity. It is also good to group the apps you don't use often into one folder to hide away.
Widgets are small app-views that can sit on any of the home screens to provide you with informaytion at a glance. For example a calendar widget can show you upcoming appointments.
Knowing how to use the Notification settings is an important skill. Left unattended all your apps will notify you all day and this can be extremely distracting.
There are diffirent ways you can let apps notify you.
Focus Modes are a tool to automatically silence notifications from people and apps depending on what you are doing.
For example, if you are studying using Goodnotes you can setup an automated Focus Mode that silences all notifications as soon as you open Goodnotes.
While not a super exciting aspect of the iPad OS it is certainly an integral part of making the iPad work for us.
