At school you will be able to join in many different activities. Some of them you will do with your whole class, others you will be able to choose to do.

Learning goal: Children show an increasing appreciation for the natural environment.
The natural world is full of wonders. This book has poems about the wonders of the natural world.
1.Have you ever found a feather and wondered about it or looked at the moon and noticed how it shines on earth in silvery tones?
2. Choose one of the poems from the collection below to listen to.
3. Draw or paint a picture about the natural wonder in the poem you listened to.
4. Talk to someone about the natural wonder in your picture and ask them to write down your words.
Listen to the first poem in the book, 'If you find a feather'. Find a feather and tickle it on your face. How does it feel?
Ask for help to write a list of describing words for your favourite natural wonder in the book. You will hear describing words in the poem, and can also think of some of your own.
Learning goal: Children learn about how exercise makes their bodies feel healthy and strong.

Do a short section or just some of the exercises.
Put on music and move your body.

Teach a friend the routine.

Learning goal: Children use the creative arts to express meaning.
1. Drag shapes into the work area. See what you can make with the shapes.
2. Copy one or more of these pictures using the shape board above.
3. Create your own picture.
Arrange real shapes or blocks to make a picture.
Rotate each shape by clicking in the middle of it until an arrow appears. Click the arrow to make the shape rotate.
Make a repeating pattern that uses 3 different shapes.
Make a picture that uses 8 triangles, 6 squares and 4 hexagons.
Learning goal: Children are aware of the needs of others.

In the video, Keeko got hurt then Dog and Bird tried to comfort him, but Keeko didn't like it.
2. Answer the following questions and talk to someone about them:
Have you seen someone get hurt?
Did they feel sad or did they cry?
Who helped them feel better?
What could you do to help someone who is sad or hurt?
Think about what makes you feel better.
Next time someone in your family is hurt or sad, ask them it they would like a hug to help them feel better.
Think of a time when you or someone else has been hurt.
Draw a picture to show what happened and think about the facial expression on the person who was hurt.
Draw something in the picture that could make them feel better.
