Teachers are at school most days so get in touch if you need help.
At the beginning of each day....
Check your Sentral portal each day for announcements from your teachers
Check your school email account for any emails sent from the school
Check your Google Classroom for today's work
Check what tasks are due this week and schedule these in your calendar
Check what live video meetings are scheduled and add these to your calendar (add a reminder)
Follow your timetable for set work each day
What to wear?
You do not have to wear your uniform each day.....unless you are on site at school
If you are going to be on a video call, make sure you are dressed appropriately, have done your hair etc
Behaviour
Even though you're at home doing your work, you are still a student at Dungog High School so all of the rules still apply
Follow the Behaviour Code for Students: https://education.nsw.gov.au/student-wellbeing/attendance-behaviour-and-engagement/student-behaviour/behaviour-code
Be respectful to your class mates and your teacher. This is challenging for everyone so be patient and supportive.
Don't post rude or abusive comments on your Google Classroom or on Sentral
Be polite when seeking support from your teachers and only message during school hours
If you have concerns then raise them with your teacher or submit an online Wellbeing Notification Form (see tab at top of screen)
Organisation
Try to organise a space that is quiet and will have limited interruptions
Turn off mobile phones when doing your school work to avoid disruptions
Follow the school timetable to complete your work. Your teacher is available at these times to help you.
Complete your work to the best of your ability
Try not to work from your bed or the lounge as you will be unlikely to work as well as you would from a desk and chair
