There are many different communities across Sydney it is important to remember that we are all part of the Australian community.
People can belong to different communities at the same time like their suburb, their school, a religious group, or an organisations like Scouts.
How would you describe the community in your suburb, to a friend who has not been there?
Do you belong to a community of people that are not living in your suburb like a religious group, a culture group or an organisation or club like Scouts?
Remembrance means remembering something. Communities often build things, like memorials, that help us remember important people, places and events from their history.
Commemorate means to mark or celebrate (an event or person) by doing or producing something like singing the national anthem, like laying flowers on a war memorial or grave, or having a minute's silence.
