APPLICATIONS FOR CREATIVE AND PERFORMING ARTS 2027 CLOSE ON MARCH 16, 2026 AT 11:59 PM
Video Audition
Students need to present a prepared 2 minute Circus Arts solo video as part of their initial application process.
Your Circus Arts audition video could comprise of the one or any combination of the following:
- Gymnastic floor routine solo
- Dance Acrobatics solo
- Contortion solo
- Aerial Circus solo
- Unicycle solo
- Manipulation (juggling, hoop, diablo, etc) solo
Video tips:
Students should be dressed in appropriate circus attire (form fitting clothes: please see below)
Student’s full body must be fully visible in the video at all times
Please review the video and ensure that it is appropriate for audition.
When is the Video Audition Due?
ALL CIRCUS ARTS SOLO AUDITION VIDEO LINKS MUST BE UPLOADED TO THE APPLICATION FORM WHEN APPLYING TO AUDITION FOR CIRCUS ARTS AT NEPEAN IN 2027.
Applications Close: 16 March 2026 at 11.59pm
Live Audition
Warm Up: Floor based circus specific conditioning exercises that provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their coordination, mobility, flexibility and strength.
Tumbling: A tumbling class that progresses from basic to advanced skills. This provides students a platform to demonstrate their acrobatic skills, ability to learn and take on constructive feedback.
Aerials: Students participate in a basic aerial strength and conditioning session. This allows students to show their aerial strength, coordination and ability to learn.
Cool Down: Students participate in a series of cool down exercises.
2 hours
Students should wear appropriate Circus Arts attire:
Unitard, leotard, tights (preferably covering knees).
No jewellery
Hair tied back.
Strength, flexibility & co-ordination
Trainability
Technical ability and performance quality
Self-discipline, concentration and commitment to learning Circus Arts
The ability to work independently and productively
Commitment to the Creative & Performing Arts both academically and in performance
Commitment to and engagement in the Extra-Curricular Program
Commitment towards their studies within all subjects at Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School
