The 2019–20 Australian bushfire season also known as black summer, was a period of bushfires in many parts of Australia, which, due to its unusual intensity, size, duration, and uncontrollable dimension, is considered a mega-fire. At the starting date of June 2019, the death toll was 34 direct deaths and a jaw-dropping 445 indirect deaths (inhaling smoke, etc.)
The Black Saturday bushfires were a series of bushfires that either ignited or were already burning across the Australian state of Victoria on and around Saturday, 7 February 2009, and were among Australia's all-time worst bushfire disasters. Black Saturday had claimed the death toll of 174 people and 414 injures 7 February - 14 March 2009. Some theories claim that the Black Saturday bushfire was caused by power line malfunctioning and lighting.
