Bournda Bird Olympics will offer events on DART Learning for students who cannot attend a Bird Olympics event at their local Environmental Education Centre in 2023.
Here are some important dates:
Lesson 1: Wednesday 6 September 10:00am to 10:45am. Week 8, Term 3. Bookings can be made on DART Learning
Who is the best bird caller? Do you know what birds are found in your local area? Would you like to learn some interesting facts about birds- their behaviour, their needs, their calls? During this educational and fun webinar students will learn about birds, participate in a quiz and find out how to enter the Bournda Bird Olympics in term 4.
What do teachers need to do after Lesson 1?
Training your bird callers/ Organise your Bird Olympics event. Week 9, 10, Term 3 and/or Week 1, Term 4
Hold your Bird Olympics Event during National Bird Week 16th-22nd October 2023. Week 2, Term 4. Participate in the Great Aussie Bird Count
Submit video of your winning student bird callers by 20th October 2023. Maximum of 3 entries per school
