BHGHS Subject Selection

HSC 2025

Welcome to BHGHS Online Subject Selection

HSC 2025

Welcome students and parents to the Beverly Hills Girls High School Senior Subject Selection website.

In conjunction with our rigorous Senior Subject Selection program, we've utilised technology as an additional measure to provide students with the tools and information to make informed decisions regarding their future. We have designed this website which contains information specifically aimed at assisting students and families when selecting subjects for the Preliminary and HSC years, which can also be used in conjunction with the Senior Curriculum Booklet.

Education is characterised by rapid and extensive change. Emphases on literacy and numeracy skills, a rigorous yet dynamic curriculum and teaching strategies that better engage students have been many of the developments in recent times. Of late, the integration of ICT in teaching and learning and the expanded interactivity of the teaching/learning relationship have become central to schools’ approaches to future ready learning.

NSW Government legislation that raised the school leaving age to 17 years has added another dimension to curriculum planning and how schools cater for the needs of adolescent learners.

The Beverly Hills Girls High School Senior Curriculum Booklet together with this site, are important resources in assisting students to make informed decisions about the next stage of their secondary education. It is one aspect of a comprehensive program that supports our students in this process. Other aspects include:

We encourage each student and their parents/caregivers to read the booklet carefully, to choose prospective senior courses carefully and to avail themselves of all the support options that our school offers throughout the course selection process.

More than anything though, we want our students to exit Beverly Hills Girls High School armed with the requisite skills, talents and attributes to build successful and fulfilling lives. We look forward to working with you on your pathway to success.

The HSC minimum standard of literacy and numeracy is a relatively new requirement by NESA to ensure that all students are ready for the workforce and prepared for everyday life after school.  Beverly Hills Girls High School will organise for you sit for these online tests and support you in fulfilling this obligation at school.  You can continue to sit for these tests for up to 5 years after starting your HSC course.  Click here to find out more.

Board Endorsed Courses

Board or Content Endorsed courses are developed by schools, TAFE and universities. They count towards your HSC. The HSC examination is optional so, it will not contribute towards the calculation of your ATAR if you don't sit the exam.

Only 1 (one) Board Endorsed Course can be counted towards your ATAR.
