The main structure of the Great Pyramids of Giza is a rectangular base with four sloped triangular sides meeting at the apex. The base of the pyramid is around 213 metres wide and covers 4 hectares of land. The bricks were stacked layed in a jagged way. It is quite a mystery on how the Ancient Egyptians constructed the Pyramids and what exact method they used.
 Rooms & Chambers
The Great Pyramids of Giza have over 3 rooms such as the Grand Gallery, Queen's chamber and King's Chamber. There were small air shafts and tunnels leading to these chambers from the outside of the pyramid.
Grand gallery :
A large hallway or passageway over 46 metres long, more than 1.5 metres wide and nearly 9 metres high!
King's Chamber :
Highly important and larger than the other rooms/chambers.
Has a granite sarcophagus or coffin.
Khufu's sarcophagus rests in there.
There were large granite stones above this chamber weighing around 25,000 to 80,000 kilograms each!
Queen's Chamber
Some archaelogists believe that the queen was not buried in the queen's chamber, despite its name.
Others believed that a life-sized statue of the king was placed in this chamber/room.
