NEW - Barriers to Education and the WARMTH Framework
Educational Psychology is the application of psychological theory, research and evidence-based practices to support children, young people, their families and schools. Our goal is to promote the emotional and social wellbeing of young people, and to support all learners, including those with learning difficulties and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to have a positive learning experience, achieve their full potential and aspirations. We do this by promoting inclusive learning environments and practices that reduce barriers to learning and belonging.
Educational Psychologists primarily work with through consultation with parents, teachers, social workers, doctors, and others involved in the education and care of children and young people. We are psychologists who have studied child development, learning and social-emotional-development and have usually also worked in schools.
