AQA A-LEVEL SPANISH (7692)


INTRODUCTION


This syllabus follows naturally from GCSE Spanish, combining the four linguistic skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing. The skills are practised through the media of textbooks, TV, listening materials and authentic press sources. Various themes are studied through the medium of Spanish, including social issues and trends together with political and artistic culture.

The course encourages students to:

  • Develop understanding of the spoken and written forms of Spanish.

  • Communicate confidently, clearly and imaginatively in Spanish through both the spoken and written words.

  • Develop critical insights into the contemporary society and culture of Spanish-speaking countries.

  • The course will also enhance the employment prospects of students and provide an additional quali­fication to those seeking to progress onto higher education

  • GCSE Spanish with a minimum grade of C or 4

This qualification is an ideal route for students looking for places at universities and colleges. You may need languages for all sorts of career destinations to communicate effectively with patients whether they work in the UK or overseas. Business people, bankers and entrepreneurs all need language skills to make deals and sell products on the global market.

A foreign language A-level will complement and enhance your other studies too.
