A day to raise awareness of and celebrate people living with Down syndrome and to advocate for their rights, inclusion and well-being. The theme for this year WDSD is "With Us Not For Us".The date for WDSD, March 21st or the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.
