FLOWER GARDEN ALONG THE ROADSIDE BELOW SCIENCE LAB

Objectives:

  • To use the school gardens as a outside teaching classroom and to reconnect students with the natural world.
  • To inculcate the concept of floriculture in young minds.
  • To teach students valuable gardening concepts and skills that integrate with several subjects as well as several educational goals, including personal and social responsibility.
  • To diversify and beautify the school campus.
  • To initiate the new site development along the roadside.

Duration: March and April Month, 2019

Work Done:

  • Labelled to the ground along the roadside.
  • developed garden.
  • sown the flower seeds and planted roses.
  • Fencing works were initiated by Mr. Kinley Wangchuk.

Mentor/Initiator:

  • Initiated myself.

Materials used:

  • Stones, top soil, spades, shovel, pickaxes, crowbar.
