School Website Development

Time Taken: about 7 months for the content development of the website.

Objectives:

To deliver a good user experience for its regular users, including teachers, students and parents.
Providing a forum for teachers, administrators, students, and parents to exchange information such as news and calendars of events
Introducing people who don't know much about the school (such as parent or students who are considering moving into the district, community members who don't have children, and teachers seeking employment) to its current events and general culture
Showing that a school is excellent with regard to sciences and new media in comparison to competitive schools
Providing a platform for internal school learning activities
Displaying school curriculum and courses
Providing staff and students with an entrance and front-end to documents and resources hosted locally
Creating and showing in public a cooperative identity.

Mr. Samten, vice principal as a guidance.

I could finally launch the website with the help from Mr. Sangay Tempa, IT teacher of Tang CS, Bumthang. The Website was officially launched by Mr. Choney Dorji, Deputy Education Officer of Bumthang Dzongkhag on 02/10/2018.

SITE DEVELOPMENT AROUND NEW SCIENCE LAB

Objectives:

School gardens are a wonderful way to use the schoolyard as a classroom, reconnect students with the natural world.
To teach them valuable gardening concepts and skills that integrate with several subjects, such as math, science, art, health and physical education, and social studies, as well as several educational goals, including personal and social responsibility.
To diversify and beautify the school campus.
To initiate the site development around the lab as it is the new structure and no development activities were carried out before.

Duration: It was continuous process, and took whole academic year to develop new flower gardens around the new science lab.

CLASSROOM DECORATION

Class VI students were given old classroom, so major transformation was initiated. Classroom painting, subject corner divisions, classroom decorations, teaching aids and hangings were some primary transformations I brought.

Objective:

To create a whole new world for students and be used to stimulate their imaginations.
Classroom set up is essential to support teaching and learning.
The physical environment of the classroom can improve the learning environment and prevent behavior problems before they occur.
The physical set-up of a classroom is important because it is the first thing a student sees when they walk in.

Duration: It was continuous process, and took whole academic year to transform the classroom make it conducive for the teaching learning process.
