We can gradually introduce places where they could have been at the weekend and with whom.

TUESDAY: VOCABULARY AND DIALOGES

Vocabulary jumping

Make a line in the middle of the classroom. The children stand with one foot on either side of the line.

The teacher places an object or a flashcard on each side of the line. The teacher says one of the words, and the children jump to the side where that object or picture is, and at the same time they repeat the word. Then change the objects/flashcards.

OBJETIVES:

· to revise vocabulary

· to practice pronunciation

Age: 3 to 6 years old.

Material:

· A line (a rope or drawn with chalk)

· Flashcards or objects

WEDNESDAY : COLORS AND NUMBERS

Flyswatter game

We can use this activity when we need to practice vocabulary topics.

For example, in this case, we are introducing colours in our class, so we can use colour flashcards.

The teacher sticks the flashcards on the blackboard. The class can be split in two groups. One child from each group takes the flyswatter in turn. The teacher says a colour from the flashcards on the board and the players have to turn around and hit the correct colour with the flyswatterflyswatter

OBJETIVES:

· to revise vocabulary

· to practice pronunciation

Age:

3 to 6 years old.

Material:

· To learn vocabulary related with colours and numbers.

· To identify and work with different colours and numbers


Colour Cooperative Dictation

The teacher distributes a set of sheets with a series of circles of different colours.

The class is divided into groups of 4 or 5children.

They work as a chain: one student has the coloured paper, and says the first colour of the series to the next student in the chain. Then, the second student repeats the colour to the third one and finally, the third child tells the student with the paper with the blank circles to colour the first circle of the series using the corresponding colour.

The process is followed until the series is completed.

Age:

4 to 5 years old.

· To develop memory

The children click on the colour monster that is repeated, First click on the monster on the left and then on the monster on the right. Each time they click on the correct monster they should say the colour out loud.

FRIDAY: Traditional fairy tales

We work on a traditional tale each trimester. We connect the story with the content that we are teaching

-First term: Hansel and Gretel. ( we can connect the story with the school, parts of the body of the main characters, feelings, autumn, Halloween...)
