In Extremadura, vaccination of the 40-49 year-old group has begun in Cáceres, Coria and Mérida. The Extremadura Health Service has said that this month will be the mass vaccinations and hopes that by the end of the month the first doses will be being applied to the age group between 30 and 39, reported La Crónica de Badajoz.
Extremadura is one of the most advanced communities with vaccination. 90.2% of those over 50 have received at least one dose and more than 52% already have the full regimen. In total 468,805 (44.1%) of people have received at least one dose, and a total of 266,219 (25%) of people have already received full doses.
Another important piece of information is that the accumulated incidence at 14 days in Extremadura stands at 74.36 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 34. The regional data remain stable this week, with little variation since they have been oscillating during the last eight days around the same figures: over 75 cases at 14 days and around 35 to 7 days.
This indicator remains well below the national average, which today counts 117 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at 14 days and 54 at 7 days.
