Pupil Support
Learners who access a variety of pupil supports in school met to discuss what was going well and what they would like in the future. Here is what they said.
What are we doing?
The Parent Council are working hard to raise funds for the playground. The children have asked for a trim trail so they will look into this.
New adults are starting with us soon.
We will look at how we can make our courtyard into more of a Sensory Garden.
Our Therapet, Riley, starts back with us in January.
Wellbeing Group
As a school, we focus on 8 wellbeing indicators: Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible, Included. Each term our learners complete a wellbeing web to identify how they feel about their own wellbeing, scoring themselves from 1 (low) to 5 (high). Our results last term showed a few learners were scoring low for safe, healthy, respected and included. A group of these learners met to discuss possible reasons for this and how we as a school could make adjustments to improve there wellbeing.
This section of our pupil group page is still being worked on by our Junior Librarians

Diary of a Wimpy Kid - The Deep End by Jeff Kinney
This book is about Greg Heffley and his family. They are living in Gramma's basement while their new house is being built, and the basement is beginning to feel really cramped.
They discover Greg's Uncle Gary has abandoned a motor home and that it provides the perfect opportunity to get away from Gramma's basement.
They go on a cross country adventure where there are lots of disastrous mistakes made by the Heffley family.
We like this book because it is really funny and it is suitable for all ages.
We rate this book 4/5 stars. ****
Mrs Robertson
The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson
This book is one of my all time favourite books. When a mouse takes a stroll through a deep dark wood ... I could recite the entire book from memory. In English or even in Scots!
I have read this story to lots of classes and they have always loved it at story time.
I rate this book 5/5 stars. *****
