This week in Nursery we have been investigating measure and using comparative vocabulary e.g long, short, tall, small. Some of us used our fine motor skills to roll out playdough into 'snakes' that corresponded with the size on the measuring mats. We have been exploring some larger measuring tools including metre sticks and trundle wheels. 📏We have created some lovely Remembrance poppy pictures too! We have also been exploring our torches with coloured caps to explore shadows and reflections. 🔦 The children discovered new ways to see how the light shone through different objects and covers. 💡
What can you do at home?
Have a look around your home for different objects that could be used to measure?
