The Band Camp team had an amazing time at Camp Nakamun.

Public School Boards’ Association of Alberta (PSBAA) is hosting screenings of the award-winning film Backpack Full of Cash. Narrated by Matt Damon, this feature-length documentary explores the growing privatization of public schools and the resulting impact on America’s most vulnerable children.

OUR LIBRARY NEEDS SOME HELPING HANDS...
Hi Parents: Our school library is an invaluable resource for our students, fostering a love of reading and supporting their academic growth. To keep our library running smoothly and ensure it continues to be a vibrant learning space, I am reaching out to seek volunteers.
Tasks include:
Organizing and shelving books
Labelling books
Book fair help

Ms. Tralnberg will send emails with advance notice, for help on Wednesdays and Thursdays

Thanks to those of you who have volunteered for Lunch Supervision!
We can always use more! This is a paid position. Responsibilities include supervising students during lunch eating and/or monitoring the playground during lunch recess. Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children are essential.
We have the following opportunities available:
Monday to Friday - 1 hour from 11:50 to 12:50
Substitute Lunch Supervisor - as needed, 1 hour from 11:50 to 12:50

Absences: If your child is going to be late or absent, please email shsabsences@sturgeon.ab.ca or leave a message on the answering machine if it is before/after school hours 780 459 3990
Late: If your child is coming in to the school late, please remind them to stop by the office and let us know they are in the school
Parent Helpers: Please sign in and out in the book in the office if you are helping out in a classroom or outdoor activity. We also request that parent helpers have a Criminal Record Check completed and return it to the school asap. If you require a form to have this done, please contact the office june.bailey@sturgeon.ab.ca
Parking Lot: The parking lot / driveway in front of the school is "one way only." Please take care that you are driving in and out in the correct direction.
