Grade One students celebrated Canada Day this week. Thanks to Lucie, from the Morinville Lions, for coming out and presenting certificates and flags to each student.
The presentation ended with a wonderful rendition of 'O Canada'
Happy Canada Day on July 1st.
Items from the lost and found will be on display until June 26th. Please have your children check through the tables if they have lost something recently.
We have quite a collection of glasses. Please call the office if they belong to your child.
Sturgeon Composite High School will be offering an additional summer school physical education program(PE 10 - 3 credit.) The program will run from July 2-16th with 2 days of off-site field trips. The program fees for the course will be $100 or less. This program is ideal for students looking to get ahead on grade 10 courses and stay active in the summer months. Class times will be 8:30-2:30pm Monday-Friday. Mr. Robertson will be teaching this course.

Yearbook orders will be taken until June 30th, 2026.
Yearbooks will come in to the School in September and will be sent home with your child at that time.

OUR LIBRARY NEEDS SOME HELPING HANDS...
Hi Parents: Our school library is an invaluable resource for our students, fostering a love of reading and supporting their academic growth. To keep our library running smoothly and ensure it continues to be a vibrant learning space, I am reaching out to seek volunteers.
Tasks include:
Organizing and shelving books
Labelling books
Book fair help

Thanks to those of you who have volunteered for Lunch Supervision!
We can always use more! This is a paid position. Responsibilities include supervising students during lunch eating and/or monitoring the playground during lunch recess. Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children are essential.
We have the following opportunities available:
Monday to Friday - 1 hour from 11:50 to 12:50
Substitute Lunch Supervisor - as needed, 1 hour from 11:50 to 12:50

Parent Helpers: Please sign in and out in the book in the office if you are helping out in a classroom or outdoor activity. We also request that parent helpers have a Criminal Record Check completed and return it to the school asap. Parking Lot: The parking lot / driveway in front of the school is "one way only." Please take care that you are driving in and out in the correct direction.
