With students just coming back to school, we are planning on recognizing Take Our Kids to Work Day at some point in the Spring.
There were several families that had prior arrangements made for placements for this event. We value the importance of career exploration for our students.

Kindergarten to Grade 3 students learned the fundamentals of curling this week. What a super time they had!! A new sport for most of them to enjoy.

The Public School Boards’ Association of Alberta (PSBAA) is hosting screenings of the
award-winning film Backpack Full of Cash
Narrated by Matt Damon, this feature-length documentary explores the growing privatization of public schools and the resulting impact on America’s most vulnerable children. Filmed in Philadelphia, New Orleans, Nashville and other cities, Backpack Full of Cash takes viewers through the tumultuous 2013-14 school year, exposing the world of corporate-driven education “reform” where public education—starved of resources—hangs in the balance.

VOLLEYBALL UPDATE
Senior Boys' volleyball remains undefeated and finished second in the League.
The boys will advance to the playoffs after Fall Break.
Senior Girls' volleyball ended the regular season with a win in Legal. The girls are also advancing to the playoffs.

Hi Parents: Our school library is an invaluable resource for our students, fostering a love of reading and supporting their academic growth. To keep our library running smoothly and ensure it continues to be a vibrant learning space, I am reaching out to seek volunteers.
Tasks include:
Organizing and shelving books
Labelling books
Book fair help

Thanks to those of you who have volunteered for Lunch Supervision!
We can always use more! This is a paid position. Responsibilities include supervising students during lunch eating and/or monitoring the playground during lunch recess. Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children are essential.
We have the following opportunities available:
Monday to Friday - 1 hour from 11:50 to 12:50
Substitute Lunch Supervisor - as needed, 1 hour from 11:50 to 12:50
