🚀 Launching the New Unplugged Planning Committee

Building on the partnership between Unplugged Canada and Sturgeon Public Schools, we are excited to announce the formation of an Unplugged Planning Committee at Sturgeon Heights School!

What does Unplugged at Sturgeon Heights look like? Have your say in shaping Unplugged living at our school! We are looking for parents, caregivers, and staff who are interested in contributing ideas, organizing events, or simply helping to spread the word. 

Our new Unplugged Planning Committee will focus on three key areas:

1. Education - Hosting discussion groups and sharing a variety of resources (books, documentaries, podcasts, and more) to support families in making informed decisions about smartphones and social media.

2. Pledge Engagement - Raising awareness about the Unplugged Canada Pledge.

3. Community - Organizing simple, seasonal gatherings centered on outdoor play and connection such as tobogganing, park meetups, forest hikes, skating, and community picnics.
