Brogårdsgymnasiet has five study-preparatory upper secondary school programs in Technology, Natural Science, Business Management and Economics and the Social Science. The school also has the vocational preparatory programs Electricity and energy, as well as Business and Administration. There is also adult education at the school. The number of pupils at the school is just over 400 and the number of teachers is 42. At the school there is also an introductory program for relatively newly arrived students.
The school's preparatory study program in Technology will participate in the project. Today, there is already a collaboration between Brogårdsgymnasiet's study preparation program in Technology and the Presterudsgymnasiet'svocational preparatory program Industrial Technology, which we want to develop in the project. The contact person Anders Andersson, who also act as the projects coordinator, has previous experience in international collaborations from two Comenius and a Leonardo da Vinci partnership, of which he was coordinator for one Comenius and one Leonardo. He has also conducted a collaboration every year where students in high school taught middle school students to program Lego robots and use CAD. Brogårdsgymnasiet wants to actively contribute to increasing the quality of the technical education, and that more students choose technical education. The school's experience of working with Presterudsgymnasiet's workshop training, and with the compulsory school in order to increase the students' interest in technical education in the long term can benefit the project. Pupils in the study preparation Technology program has repeatedly been teaching younger pupils in compulsory school in the programming of LEGO robots and CAD for a few years. In addition, Brogårdsgymnasiet has experience of EU-funded projects since at least 2007.
