Culture, identity...
Study how cultural aspects have influenced the identity formation in individuals and nations. Each workshop has their own theme: 1) history, 2) sports/dance, 3) food and 4) nature. Teachers will have education about identity formation and how to support their students.
Students are active members...
Each partner country does a workshop about their country from the theme´s point of view. Students choose the most meaningful issues considering their country and its mentality, they prepare materials and lessons about the theme and during the workshop they teach all other students about their country. After students lessons all participants will discuss the similarities and differences between countries and they can make suggestions how to enhance cultural diversity.
More action during workshops...
We want that students will be active and that they will get to know each others. That is why we will have the additional themes: 1) local traditions, 2) local games and 3) local music. These themes are used in each mobility as a icebreaking activities and activities to enhance the group´s coherence, during for example cultural visits etc.
Project´s ict -activities...
We will use EU´s eTwinning -network and specially Twinspace for storage. All students´ lessons will be documented there, and also additional methods´ pedagogical plans and teachers´ own school culture plans, and evaluation materials too. We use also Google Drive for working together and the Sites for our homepage.
During this 2-year project we will have also virtual meetings. Students´ virtual meetings VM1 and VM 3 are for planning “what and how to teach the topic to others” and to get to know each others before the actual mobilities. Students´ Virtual meetings VM2 and VM 4 are for evaluating the teaching lessons done during the mobilities and to share good practises about presentation skills. Teachers´ Virtual meeting VM5 is for evaluation of the project and teachers´ ”school culture -task”.
Results...
We wish that after this project our students will be more open minded towards other cultures, they have gained gourage in using their English skills and that they have find new friend around Europe. Teachers will make a task during the project. They will gather materials of good practises from other schools and we hope that after this project each of our partner schools are more mentally equipped towards helping and understanding students.
