Outreach

Our outreach plan consisted of five main elements, which were:

1. Social Media

2. Traditional media (news)

3. Sponsorships 

4. Academy and subject matter experts

5. Events or presentations

Web page / blog:

In addition to our five main elements, we have created a website including our blog(you are reading it now).

We started to plan our website so that the most important parts, like describing our projects and team-members comes first. The webpage will follow our project and is the central part of our communication platform. We planned that during the project we will keep adding other parts to our website like blog posts etc.

Social media

We have created an instagram account, where we regularly post updates in a less formal way than on the website. As most of our followers on this platform will most likely be from our school the short informative text available after clicking on the posts is in swedish. We also posted an advertisement for our instagram page shortly before traveling to Vaasa on our schools instagram page. In total we have gotten hundreds of likes on our posts.

Traditional media

We made a press release in Finnish and Swedish. We used the template from STT (Suomen Tietotoimisto) to have our press release follow a professional format. 

We used the press release and good emails to contact all major media or news organizations in Finland.

For example we got our team hoodies for a great deal from Printtivaate.

Events or presentations:

We are planning to present our CanSat-project in the following events or have presented:

• Lagstads skola, informative presentation for their science class 21.3. 

• Gymnasiet Lärkan, informative presentation for the whole school (when we return from the competition with results)

• Källhagen, informative presentation for their science class
