Edron Library History

The Edron Library houses a collection of over 20,000 books in English and in Spanish, within its Kinder, Primary and Secondary libraries.  It also provides online database subscriptions, newspapers and magazines, and offers  the use of audiovisual material and equipment, and computers with intranet and internet access.   All material is updated regularly to support the academic curriculum and to provide for the recreational needs of its users.  The Kinder library is located on the Kinder site, while the and Secondary libraries are located in the main building of the school, divided by a sliding glass door.  The Library is staffed by two teacher-librarians (one in Kinder and one in the main school), a library assistant and a library technician, who are available at all times to assist pupils.  The Library is open from Monday to Friday, from 7.30 am to 2.40 pm.

The mission of the Edron Library is to support the bicultural curriculum of the school and the recreational needs of both students and staff, and to foster the development of life-long learning abilities, critical thinking skills and a love of reading in our students.
