Principal, Tomás Hayes explains how his school became involved in the Digital Portfolios Project and received sustained support from PDST Digital Technologies Advisor John Meegan. The staff collaboratively wrote their Digital Learning Plan and integrated their implementation plan for the Primary Language Curriculum with it. This led to more awareness of digital technologies integration and increased skills among staff and pupils.

Julie Somerville, a 6th class teacher in St. Aidan’s explains how her school has benefitted from participation in the Digital Portfolios Project and support from PDST Digital Technologies Team Advisor John Meegan. Julie discusses a project her class completed using digital portfolios collaborating together to prepare, research and present a slideshow on the moon landings leading to increased engagement among pupils.
Principal Tim Ó Tuachaigh’s school became involved in the Digital Portfolios Project having invested in devices for staff and pupils. Staff benefitted from sustained support visits from a PDST Advisor as well as online professional development with PDST’s teachercpd.ie. The school has made great progress enhancing teaching, learning and assessment with digital technologies and has plans to roll out the project to more classes.
