What is Storage in Office 365?

Pupils can use their Digital Portfolio space as digital storage, where they create and collect work samples.  The storage element of the digital portfolio has to allow for the storage of material being worked on that may later be displayed in the showcase of the digital portfolio.

While there are many places where files can be stored and worked on, we recommend using One Drive as the storage area of the digital portfolio.  Below you will find some tutorials to get you and your pupils confident in working with One Drive.  This is where pupils can organise folders and files and folders in a structured way to assist with organisation.  These folders and files are saved in the cloud and then pupils can access them from multiple devices, e.g. smartphone, tablet, or computer, whether at home or in school.

One Drive Tutorials

This short video provides an overview of One Drive and describes how it works.

This video, which can be shared with pupils, demonstrates how to access One Drive, how to share files and folders.

Pupils can use OneDrive to share photos, Microsoft 365 documents, other files, and entire folders with teachers and/or peers.  The files and folders you store in OneDrive are private until you decide to share them and you can see who a OneDrive file is shared with or stop sharing at any time.  This video provides a step-by-step guide to how files and folders can be shared from One Drive and is ideal to share with your pupils.
