Watch List Submission
Purpose: The Watch List is a tool for teachers to document and monitor students who they believe MAY be candidates for the Primary Talent Pool or Gifted and Talented Program in the future. This early identification process helps ensure that students receive the attention and support they need.
How It Works:
Submit Documentation: Teachers can use the Watch List button to submit observations, notes, and any relevant documentation about students who show signs of exceptional abilities or potential.
Monitor Progress: The submitted documentation will be reviewed periodically to track the student's progress and determine if a formal referral to the Gifted and Talented Program is appropriate.
Follow-Up: The Gifted and Talented Coordinator will review the Watch List submissions and may follow up with teachers for additional information or insights.
Steps to Use the Watch List Button:
Access the Watch List Button: Click on the corresponding Watch List Submission Button on this page.
Complete the Form: Fill out the form with the Google Form.
Attach Documentation: Upload any supporting documentation that provides evidence of the student's exceptional abilities or potential.
Submit: Once all information is completed and reviewed, submit the form.
Benefits of Using the Watch List:
Early Identification: Helps identify students who may need additional support or be considered for the Gifted and Talented Program.
Organized Tracking: Keeps a record of students who show potential, facilitating a more structured review process.
Informed Referrals: Ensures that referrals to the Gifted and Talented Program are based on comprehensive and well-documented observations.
*If you have any questions or need assistance with the Watch List submission, please contact the Gifted and Talented Coordinator, Summer Rich, at summer.rich@edmonson.kyschools.us.
