Check out the calendar below for more information about when and where our next events and meetings will be! 🐝
Bees are dormant during the colder seasons, so we wont have any hive checks scheduled until spring. However, we will try to keep busy with honey, craft, and educational activities until then.
Click on any event for more info. Most of our events and meetings fall into one of the following categories:
Hive Inspections - This is when we suit up, open the hives, and see what the bees are doing in there! It is a lot of fun, and a hands-on experience. We try to do these once a week during the bees' most active season.
Craft Events - We get together to make candles, lotion bars, soap, and some other crafts from the beeswax we collect from our bees!
Honey Events - These are events related to the extraction, processing, and bottling of the honey produced by our bees.
Educational Events - We host some educational events to help bee club members learn as much as they can about the intricacies of bee behavior and beekeeping practices. There is usually a presentation on a topic of interest and free snacks. We also occasionally attend academic conferences.
Table Events - We often have a table set up at school functions to raise awareness and encourage students to join Bee Club. We appreciate anyone who is able to come out and help us man a table and do some bee education. :)
Service Learning - Occasionally, we can use some extra hands when it comes to maintenance of our apiary and hive boxes. For these events, we request that you RSVP by signing up at the service learning page on the Edmonds College website. For more info about service learning click here.
