On Wednesday August 3rd 2022, Pre-University Education (PUE) hosted an induction day for new staff joining our QF-Schools. Staff ranged from teachers to principals from all over the world. The goal of the induction day was to familiarize staff with Qatari culture, Education City, PUE, and the Education Development Institute (EDI) to raise awareness and orientate new staff with the context we are situated in. The diverse group of new joiners experienced a day filled with relevant information on QF, PUE and the support mechanisms in place to aid in their transition into their new roles.
The day kicked off with a tour in Education City. The tour focused on three QF entities: Qatar National Library, Mathaf Museum and Manaritein where the Education City mosque is situated. The aim of the tour was to expose new joiners to the various resources available to utilize in teaching and learning.
Following the tour, new staff arrived at the PUE Theater to listen to a presentation. The PUE presentation was an opportunity to raise awareness on key topics. The presentation began with an introduction to the PUE structure and entities with Habes Howail, Manager of Partnerships at PUE President’s Office.
