The artwork I completed was inspired by Frank Stella. Frank Stella is an artist who loved to paint bright and complicated lines to create a big picture. He also used many 2D shapes which were colored in with lines.

I did Mondrian. I chose him because I like the simplicity and bold colors and shapes of his art. One interesting thing I learned while doing this was that he never used the paint right out of the container; he always mixed it with different shades to get his own unique color. I used heavyweight paper, poster paint, marker pen and a ruler to make my piece.
