Structuring Literacy Teacher Only Day Gore Main School (Tuesday 4th June 2024)

Glenn, Rose and Tash shared with us their journey into the Structured Literacy approach at Gore Main School and then we were able to watch lessons occurring with children at various levels across the school.

Andrea Greer (Nurturing Relationships), Athena Kent (AST), Amy-lee Budd (Core Education), Robina Wilson (AST)  and David McKenzie (COL Lead) took us through the day as we unpacked Trauma Informed Practiced and explored the pending changes to the Te Mātaiaho.

Julie Hook joined us at our Kahui Ako Otago Southland Hui to share with us about the up-and-coming curriculum refresh.  It was great to get an overview of what is occurring in this area that will impact all our schools.
