For young children and their families, going to kindergarten is a happy and exciting time.  However, for a few, as the first day approaches, excitement can quickly  turn into apprehension.  They begin to worry about leaving home, the bus ride, their new teacher, the classroom, friends and the list goes on.  For most these worries will be short lived and they will make a successful transition to school.  For a small number of children, the worries will manifest into separation anxiety, making the transition difficult.

Please let me know at any point in the year if your child is experiencing a difficult time coming to kindergarten.

I will offer you and your child as much support as possible.
