We are a NUT FREE Classroom

Due to student allergies, we are a TREE NUT FREE classroom.  Please do not send any products to school with your child that contain tree nuts.

Take Home Folder

Please place any important communication (teacher notes, dismissal notes, absentee excuses, permission slips,...) in your child's take home folder.  Let your child know if they have important mail to return to school. Once at school, It will be your child's responsibility to check their folder each morning for notes.  Reminders will be given. Please check you child's folder each night for completed work/projects, notes and important flyers. Empty and return your child's folder each day .

Sneakers/Clothes

Sneakers should be worn/sent to school daily for participation in PE and outdoor play.  All students should have an extra change of clothes in their locker.  If your child has an accident at school, the soiled clothing will be sent home and should returned the following day.

Water Bottles

Please send a filled, unbreakable, spill proof water bottle to school with your child each day.  Water bottles should be labeled with student names.

Snack

We will have snack time at the end of each day.  Please provide one simple, nutritious TREE NUT FREE snack. It is advisable to pack this separate from your child's lunch.  Eating utensils are not available in our classroom.  Please provide them if necessary.

Books

LIBRARY BOOKS

Students will be checking out books from the GLP library each Monday.  These books can remain at home throughout the week for your enjoyment.  Please return library books every MONDAY in the bag provided by Mrs. Agle.  If we do not have school on a Monday, hold onto the books until the following week.

IRLA BOOK BAGS

Once independent student reading levels have been established, IRLA book bags will be sent home.  Please refer to the "Reading Logs/IRLA"  page in the drop down menu for more information.  IRLA book bags should be returned daily.

Breakfast/Lunch

BRINGERS:  If your child is bringing their lunch, please make sure their lunch box is labeled with their full name (inside is fine).  Please provide all needed eating utensils.  Food can not be warmed up in the cafeteria. Practice opening and closing lunch containers with your child as needed for independence.

BUYERS: Breakfast is served from 8:35-9:00 a.m.  Please place a note in your child's folder or send me a Dojo message prior to 8:30 a.m. if your child will be attending breakfast.    Our class attends lunch from 11:15-11:45 a.m.  Lunch count for preferred entrees is taken at morning meeting.  If a student does not place a lunch order during the lunch count and then needs to buy, they will receive a lunch but it may not be their preferred entree.

This year, all GLP students are eligible to receive a FREE breakfast and/or lunch!  While not necessary to receive a meal, please complete the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Household Income Eligibility form as this information is used for State Aid purposes.
