Why: When teachers work to decide what students need to know, why, and how they will demonstrate success, individual teachers have the Clarity (Effect Size .75) they need to support student learning. Effective curriculum mapping helps teachers know how and when they will address learning standards. Having a clear map of the curriculum makes it easier to make instructional decisions, such as when or how to make adjustments to instruction based on student mastery.
Outcome: Participants will update their standards-based curriculum maps in order to have clarity on the key standards they will teach each week within the curriculum.
