Online classes

Term 3 – commencing Friday 20th August, ALL college classes will be delivered online.

Our school timetable will remain the same, however lesson delivery will be adjusted to accommodate for being online.

Students are encouraged to maintain routine by connecting with each of their classes and undertaking set work during designated timetabled lessons. Maintaining normal routine will assist students to remain focused.

Each week teachers will post learning resources and tasks to their classes Google Classroom page, as well as scheduling virtual classes into their weekly delivery. Virtual classes will be delivered via Google Meets

It is the student’s responsibility to:

· Check-in with their Google Classroom pages daily

· Complete set tasks and be present during virtual classes

· Contact their teachers via email for help with any questions or concerns they have regarding the learning material being covered in class

Virtual Classes Protocol & Etiquette

· The online session is live and may be recorded.

· All students are reminded to be in an appropriate learning area.

Not your bedroom or In front of the TV, or with having music playing etc.

· ALL participants are reminded to be appropriately dressed (no pyjamas or unacceptable clothing)

· All participates are reminded to use appropriate language and refrain from humour/sarcasm that could be considered offensive by other people overhearing the lesson

· The teacher can mute or remove a participant who is being disrespectful or inappropriate.

· During the session, and all online sessions, treat others the same way that you would face to face.

· Students should hang up/ leave the video conference before the teacher hangs up


Contacting Teachers

Teachers can be contacted via Google Classroom comments and email.

Teachers will respond to your queries within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Note: Due to privacy issues, individual Video Conferencing between staff and students will not be an option for communication.


MCSS VET Classes – Term 3

Term 3 will focus on the delivery and assessment of theory for the competencies in the BSSS VET unit currently being delivered. The practical evidence required for achievement of individual competencies will be the focus of teaching and assessment when students return to school.

Students may be awarded competencies in the future through demonstration of practical skills which meets the evidence required and the theory work students have already completed.
