LSG classes have all been working hard, engaging with lessons and growing our knowledge base in every learning area.
LSG Ruby
Students in LSG Ruby have begun to explore Digital Technologies and coding through the use of Bee Bots. In our first two lessons we were exploring how the Bee Bots move and how we can make them move.
LSG Emerald
Students have enjoyed learning about States of Matter in Science (solids, liquids and gases) and how we can change them by adding heat or cold. We had a lot of fun this week doing some experiments on how we can change liquid into a gas and solids into liquids. We think we should do experiments with chocolate and icy poles every week!
LSG Sapphire
Have dived deeper into the world of coding using the online program Code.org. Students learn to guide a character to complete small tasks such as picking up items or moving through a maze. We have also loved exploring shapes, learning what lines of symmetry are, calculating area and perimeter using our initials on grid paper and creating our very own tessellating shapes.
LSG Diamond
This term, we have continued to build our multiplication fact knowledge through songs, worksheets and hands-on learning activities. A class favourite has been our multiplication games, which provide a fun and engaging way to practice recall and improve fluency. We have certainly discovered that some of our students are very competitive when it comes to maths games!
