Demonstration Stations are a fantastic way to get students to show you their learning. This can be done by setting the stations up before a lesson, or an impromptu student check-in. The level of differentiation is great, with the demonstration being anything from recalling a fact or vocabulary word, to linking two concepts together.

Demonstration Stations can help teachers:

• Get students moving around the classroom

• Allow students the freedome to demonstrate learning in a variety of ways

• Get students or groups to work together to demonstrate learning

• Stations can be equipped with resources and students can just be asked to "use these tools to show..."

• Demonstrations can be quietly between a single student and teacher, or can be done as a class activity

• Partners can each demonstrate a learning to one another, and then combine them to create a 'super demonstration'

• Maths problems, word problems, gap fill, or physical demonstrations are all options, mix up the task and it can be more fun!
