Pre-K and Kindergarten Resources

Kindergarten and Up Resources

The funny poetry playground of children’s author Kenn Nesbitt. Here you will find lots of funny poems for kids, classic children’s poems, games, poetry lessons and activities, plus a rhyming dictionary, videos, and lots more!

Kids A-Z has two main sections where your student can work on phonics, sight words, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. When your student first logs in, they will be prompted to begin a placement test. Please do not help your child. The information that is gathered is used to put them in books and skills for their particular reading level. They will work at their own pace.

Getepic!

Getepic is a website that boasts thousands of free tradebooks that children love. These are digital books that you may find in a bookstore or library. There is an option for children to listen to the books or to read on their own. Getepic is only free Mondays-Fridays from 7 am to 4 pm. If you would like to access the website after school hours there is a paid version, but that is not necessary.

Also available as an app, Teach Your Monster To Read integrates fun while building on fundamental reading skills such as letters and sounds, comprehension, and more.
