SyntheticBiology15 is designed to encourage collaborative approaches to identifying a problem of interest for the community, and to build a solution to this problem using synthetic biology- a new and innovative form of genetic engineering. It is an extension of the concepts found in Science 9 and Biology 20/30, with respect to applied microbiology and genetics. The course components: Designing and implementing the Project, Lab Work to Complete the Investigation, Human Practices and Bio-Safety Investigation, and Communication of Project and its Conclusions.
