The purpose of the English Second Language program is to bridge the gap between student English proficiency and the academic English skills required to pass core courses. The ESL program specifically works with the strands of Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking and is concerned only with improvement of English language. The student can be at any English proficiency level to join the program and continues at their own pace with the goal of confidence in English proficiency in an academic context. Moving forward into high school, a personal language proficiency plan is structured around each student’s individual needs.
Expository English 9, 15, 25, and 35 levels
