This course focuses on 3D modelling and 3D animation. Students will learn the essential skills, tools, and design principles needed to create film and games assets, 3D art, and visual effects. In addition to these, this course touches upon 3D printing, sound design, and graphic design. Some of the software being taught in class includes Blender (3D modeller), Google suite, and PureRef.
3D Modelling I (3 credit) - In this course, students learn to develop their own 3D models, materials, and 3D artwork. These skillsets are commonly used in film and games. In addition to these, this course touches upon 3D printing, sound design, and graphic design.
3D Modelling II (3 credit) - In this course, students build upon the skills learned in 3D Modelling I to learn more advanced concepts such as character design, character rigging (bone creation), animation in 3D, compositing, and 3D visual effects. Prerequisite: 3D Modelling I
