Reading Competency Requirement

PDCP Reading Requirements: 

Teachers required to complete Reading Competencies 1 and 2:

• Middle Grades (5-9) excluding ELA 5-9 see below

• Secondary (6-12) excluding ELA 6-12 sell below

• Elementary and Secondary (K-12) excluding Reading K-12 & ESE K-12 see below

Teachers required to complete Reading Competencies 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 (Reading Endorsement):

• Prekindergarten-Primary (age 3 - Grade 3)

• Elementary (K-6)

• ELA Middle Grades 5-9

• ELA 6-12

• Reading K-12

• ESOL K-12

Teachers are required to complete Reading Competencies 1, 2, 3, & 4

• Exceptional Student Education (K-12)

How Do I Sign Up for a Reading Competency Course?
